VCI Shrink Film

Heat-shrinkable, corrosion-inhibiting film that shrinks tight around metal parts and assemblies for combined rust protection and a secure pack.

VCI Shrink Film — heat-shrinkable corrosion-inhibiting film that wraps tight around metal parts and assemblies

Overview

VCI Shrink Film combines a heat-shrinkable film formulation with vapor corrosion inhibitors, so a single wrap both shrinks tight to the shape of the load and releases a protective vapor that neutralizes the moisture and oxygen reaction responsible for rust. It is applied loosely and then heat-shrunk with a gun, tunnel or chamber, giving a close-conforming, tamper-evident pack for machined parts, castings, forgings and full assemblies bound for storage or export.

Key Features

  • Heat-shrinkable film with built-in vapor corrosion inhibitors
  • Self-healing, slow-release vapor protects recessed and exposed metal surfaces
  • Close-conforming, tamper-evident pack
  • Up to 24 months protection in a sealed pack

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

No, corrosion protection is validated after the shrink cycle — the inhibitor stays active through standard tunnel and heat-gun shrink processes.
