VCI Stretch Film
Innovative co-extruded VCI stretch film for banding and wrapping large metal parts in shipment or storage.

Overview
VCI Stretch Film is an innovative corrosion-inhibiting stretch film for banding and wrapping large metal parts in shipment or storage. The co-extruded film combines excellent strength properties achieved by utilizing multiple resins in three distinct pure layers, providing a cost-effective corrosion protection solution for ferrous and most non-ferrous metals. Unlike VCI heat-shrink film, VCI stretch film is a highly stretchable plastic film — commonly made from Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) — that is wrapped around items, with elastic recovery keeping items tightly bound.
Key Features
- Co-extruded, 3-layer construction for strength and cost-effective protection
- Elastic recovery keeps wrapped items tightly bound
- Commonly used to wrap products on pallets and secure them to each other and the pallet
- Helps reduce product loss and discourage load tampering

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Stretch film is a highly stretchable film that is wrapped around items and relies on elastic recovery to bind them; shrink film is heat-activated and shrinks tight to the product's shape — they are often confused but work on different mechanisms.
